Deep plane face and neck lift surgery is the most preferred method by Dr Soner Karaali in his face lift surgery practice. He prefers this technique in most of his face lift surgeries. The full name of this technique in medical terminology is “deep composite face and neck lift”. Because in this surgery, the skin and the layer called “SMAS” lying under the skin are separated as a whole and pressed upwards. Since the “SMAS” layer bears all the load during this compression, this technique puts less stress on the skin and is superior to other techniques in terms of scarring. In addition, this technique is highly effective and has a long-lasting effect since it comprises a surgery on the deep structures. Since this surgery is performed in the immediate vicinity of the facial nerves, it is very important that face lifts are not performed except by experienced surgeons. Deep plane face lift surgery, in particular, is one of the special operations that require advanced experience and knowledge.

After facelift surgery, hospitalization for 1-2 days is required. You will have a protective and bleeding-preventing mask on your face for the first 48 hours after the surgery. In the postoperative period, patients can take a bath and maintain their personal care on the 2nd-3rd day. Around the first week, the stitches on your face will be removed, or if self-dissolving stitches are used, there will be no need to remove stitches. It is expected that your face will have a tight appearance, swelling and bruising in the early period after facelift surgery. These problems will gradually decrease in the following 10-14 days, and in the third week, edema will decrease significantly and it will be possible to fully return to social life. Patients can shorten this period even further with the help of hairstyle, make-up and various accessories after surgery. You can drive or fly on the 5th day after the surgery, and return to sports activities on the 6th week. You can see the final result around the 6th month.
